WOLV-TV Information

WOLV-TV was founded in 1994 to provide an ability for students to seek a hands-on education in television and to provide quality programming for the University of Michigan. The station receives funding from University Housing, personal donations, and through the activities of its business department. WOLV-TV is a subsidiary of the Michigan Cable Network, which runs a total of six networks in the dorms, not including WOLV-TV.

The station currently broadcasts a number of quality shows in addition to covering special events. An Executive Board ensures the proper function of WOLV-TV. It consists of the General Manager, Operations Director, Business Director, News Director, Sports Director, Entertainment Director, and Programming Director. These individuals oversee all aspects of channel operation including technical maintenance, personnel training, personnel recruitment, production, and sales.
